Etsy fees for 3D print sellers in Germany

Most fee guides quote the US numbers. Germany's stack is different: payment processing is 4% + €0.30. Here is the whole stack from Etsy's official Germany tables, applied to a real order.

A worked example: a €25.00 print with €5.00 shipping

Listing fee — $0.20 USD, converted€0.17
Transaction fee — 6.5% × €30.00€1.95
Payment processing — 4% × €30.00 + €0.30€1.50
Etsy's cut (12.1% of the order)€3.62
You receive€26.38

If Offsite Ads attribute the sale, add 15% of the order (12% and mandatory once your shop passes $10k USD in a trailing year) — that turns €3.62 into €8.12.

Three Germany-specific things to know

The 6.5% applies to the tax-inclusive price. For non-US sellers Etsy charges its transaction fee on the price including VAT/GST, so the effective rate on your pre-tax price is a little higher than 6.5%.

VAT on the fees themselves. Unless you are VAT-registered and exempt, Etsy may charge VAT on its own fees — a further few percent of the fee amounts, not modeled above.

The listing fee is charged in USD. $0.20 per listing, per renewal (every 4 months and after each sale), converted at the day's rate — shown above at €0.17.
